Invoice language, russian support and new invoices list.

During the last week we launched quite a few updates, namely the support for changing invoice language, a new and improved invoice list and russian language support. I will now go briefly over each one.

Sliptree now supports changing the invoice language

Change invoice language

Have You ever had to send an invoice to somebody who speaks another language? Wouldn’t it be nice if You could send them the invoice in their own language? Well, now You can do that!

Yesterday we launched an update that allows You to change the invoice language. When You are creating a new invoice, or editing an existing one, you will notice a round flag just below the save button. Click this flag to see the invoice in another language. When You click Download, you will get the invoice in whatever language You chose.

A nice thing to note is that while this changes the language of the invoice, it will not affect the user-interface – all the buttons, dialogs, etc will stay in the language you are using Sliptree. This way You will still understand what it is that You are doing :)

As of now, we do not save the invoice’s language. This means that when You change the language and want to send it to your client, You should download the PDF and attach it to an email. We are working to add full support for saving the invoice language so that You could directly email the invoice to your clients in another language.

Improved invoices list

We know that it’s important to get a quick overview of what’s going on with Your invoices. That’s why we are in the process of building an awesome overview of all your invoices, which ones have been paid, etc. In the meanwhile we thought our simple list needed a bit more detail.

We have grouped invoices by month and added the invoice date, client’s name and total to the list so You can easily see who You have invoiced and when.

This is the first step towards a major update when we add also possibility to search your invoices and bulk actions, such as downloading all invoices at once, or sending them to all your clients at once.

Russian language support

Sliptree is now also available in Russian – a big thanks goes out to Aleksandr Golovatshjov who helped us with the translation! So whether You speak russian or simply need to create an invoice to your russian-speaking clients, you can now do it in Sliptree :)

We have more new features and improvements coming in the near future so stay tuned for next news – subscribe to our RSS and follow us on Twitter.
